Today I was driving an old friends’ house for his little sister’s high school graduation party, and had to pass a boat launch. I don’t normally pay attention to it, but today I did. And what I saw made me laugh.
Two older burly guys, ones you probably wouldn’t approach in polite company, were loading a boat into a trailer, with a gorgeous Golden Retriever that looked absolutely excited to be by the water. One of the older men found a chunk of driftwood and threw in the water. The dog went, fetched it, and brought it back to the older guys.
I’m not sure why, but the sight of these two old gruff looking guys, stopping their task of hitching the boat just to throw a dog a stick made my day.
