I like pizza, which is good, because we eat a lot of it.
Today, however, we are making a pizza.
Making a pizza as in we bought the ingredients to make a homemade pizza.
So after a near meltdown on my part which consisted of uncontrollable fits of laughter, flour everywhere, sticky hands and not knowing which day of the week it was, we produced this:

mmm pizzza
which looks scary.
It cooked and looked like this:

finished pizza
We forgot a before pic when we took the pizza out. It definitely tasted better than it looked.
I’m not sure if you’ve heard of vinyl art before, but it’s pretty awesome. There is some crazy stuff people have made from recycling old records. Eye Pop Art has some sweet stuff I would love to have on my walls.
You can soften the old record in your oven at 350*F for 45 seconds, taking it out and flipping it, and putting it back in for 50 seconds. It’ll be fairly hot, but you should be able to mold it with your bare hands. (But you should probably wear gloves because if the vinyl is too hot it can release some pretty nasty toxic crap).
So first off it was a bogus copy of The Earth is Not A Cold Dead Place by Explosions in the Sky. (Only because it didn’t work was this sacrificed.)

first tryinside of first try
I now have that children’s song that goes something like ‘my hat it has three corners, three corners has my hat’.
Next up was The Best of The Doors 1 which turned out pretty cool. I’m debating if I want to paint this one or not.
That one we flipped and hung upside down over a pepper mill.
Jon painted up the first effort and managed to turn it into a pretty awesome incense holder.
I painted a ceramic object that I had been meaning to paint for awhile. Not finished yet, so no pics.
I’ll leave this post with a candid pic.
For the record, melted vinyl doesn’t make a good hat. (laaaaame pun)
